Hospital Patient Registration Specialist - Hamilton Mountain

Program Info

The Hospital Patient Registration Specialist program trains individuals in the intricacies of administration procedures found in departments such as Emergency, Admissions, Outpatients and Bed Control.

This involves, for example, gathering patient demographics, working with computerized databases, admitting, discharging and transferring patients, and managing the beds within the hospital.

Students will become adept at interacting with patients and staff in all types of situations, some traumatic, others common, and will be able to maintain a professional manner throughout any emergency. As a result of the computerized link to the hospital, the practicum hours within a hospital, and intensive study, the graduate will be capable of working in any of the fast-paced hospital departments.
