The objective of the Banking and Financial Services program is to prepare students for careers in banking and finance. Students will receive training in customer service, online banking, investments, mortgage credit, foreign exchange rates, mutual funds, and so much more.
Banking and Financial Services Courses
Our banking and financial services classes will provide you with training in:
Students will also take a career and employment strategies course that will provide techniques on job interviewing, resume preparation, writing thank you letters, and job search management.
This program includes the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC). Upon successful completion of this program and the Mutual Funds course exam (on which a mark of 60% is required), students can complete a Mutual Fund License application for submission to their provincial Securities Commission. To do so, the student will need to be employed by a registered company, such as a bank, who will be the sponsoring dealer and will help complete the application.
