Career Opportunities
In recent years, due to the advances in Cardiac Technology and an aging population, the demand for more highly trained individuals has increased.  Age-related and pathological conditions are increasing (for example, diabetes and obesity are on the rise) and this has numerous cardiovascular implications.  Career opportunities exist in hospitals, cardiovascular clinics, physicians’ offices, medical laboratories and diagnostic imaging centres.

Once a student has become a member of the registering body (CSCT), employment opportunities exist overseas in countries such as the UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. These countries will accept the Canadian credentialing for employment in the field.  This course will also allow students to enter more invasive cardiac diagnostic testing courses through other institutions.
