The Personal Support Worker program is designed to provide you with the skills and training to attend to the physical and emotional needs of clients. You will gain the tools to provide direct care in a variety of health care environments.
The curriculum emphasizes basic skills that includes: observing and communicating with the client; stimulating physical and mental activity; providing necessary personal care procedures; and handling specialized equipment.
Additionally, your active participation in our Learning System will enable you to develop the educational and hands-on abilities to succeed as a health care professional.
You will have the skills to effectively identify and quickly respond to the needs of clients in the following settings: long-term care facility, home health care agency, retirement home, hospice, and group home.
