Program Info
The Computerized Accounting program provides “hands on” training in popular computer programs used in accounting departments.
Emphasis is placed on learning the Windows operating system, discovering what the web is all about, and gaining in-depth knowledge of the most popular office applications. Students will become experienced in working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and much more.
Computerized Accounting Courses
Our computerized accounting classes will provide you with training in:
- Introduction to Computers
- Windows Fundamentals
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Bookkeeping and Financial Accounting
- Computerized Accounting with Simply
- Computerized Accounting with ACCPAC
The computer courses are designed to familiarize students with the skills necessary to enter the workforce within the accounting industry. Students will spend time using the general ledger and accounts receivable/payable modules within ACCPAC and Simply.
Students will also take a career and employment strategies course that will provide techniques on job interviewing, resume preparation, writing thank you letters, and job search management.
