Intra-Oral (Level II) Dental Assistant

Overview

This Intra-Oral (Level II) Dental Assistant program can prepare students to begin a career in the dental assisting field. Students will learn about clinical dentistry, oral facial science, pharmacology, preventive dentistry, and much more. The dental courses will provide students with the skills and knowledge to assists Dentists.

Students will learn how to take and process radiographs, polish teeth, apply fluoride treatments; instruct clients in oral hygiene; place pit and fissure sealants; apply topical anesthetic; apply desensitizing agents; polish restorations; oral irrigation; apply over-the counter whitening agents, or take preliminary impressions for study casts.
